OUR PURPOSE

In 1923, Tokyo and its surrounding area were struck by the Great Kanto Earthquake. It was out of a desire to protect the feet of citizens as they struggled to walk over rubble with leather-soled shoes that Tomita Tsunehachiro Shoten was founded as a store handling leather materials.

Over the past 100 years, leather became a material for fashionable articles. Over the next 100 years, it is going to blend into lifestyles.

We remain committed to heeding the needs of society and delivering leather goods imbued with new value and impressive features.This is the pledge made by the TOMITA Group.

OUR BUSINESS LINEUP

We are a fabless manufacturer and curator of leather. We have continued to engage in leather design and research & development, and responded to the various needs of the times.
In collaboration with more than 50 cooperating plants inside and outside Japan, we provide optimal proposals in pursuit of the possibilities of leather and creation of new value.

Through all sorts of sustainable methods, we build and deliver leather from cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs as the by-product of their meat.
